Getting started

What VecSwift is, who it is for, and how to ship your first cut-ready file.

What is VecSwift?v
VecSwift is a production-grade vector studio for creating, refining, and exporting clean files for Cricut and other cutting, laser, and CNC production runs.
Do I need design experience to use VecSwift?v
No. You can start from templates or use guided AI flows (like AI Studio planning) and then refine with precision tools as you learn.
Is VecSwift compatible with Cricut Design Space?v
Yes. VecSwift exports cutter-ready packs (for example SVG/PNG) and includes validation guidance to avoid common Design Space issues like editable text, unsupported effects, or external image links.
Is VecSwift real-time collaborative?v
Workspaces support roles, shared assets, and activity tracking. Real-time co-editing is not enabled, and live updates are last-writer-wins.

AI Studio

How AI flows work, guardrails, and how to get reliable cutter-ready results.

What can AI Studio do?v
AI Studio helps you plan a design, generate assets, refine prompts, and produce outputs that are easier to validate and export for production runs.
How do I get cleaner vectors from AI?v
Be specific about size, material, and color count. Ask for clean paths, no gradients, and clear layer separation. Then use validation and power tools to finalize.
Are there restrictions on what I can request?v
Yes. Guardrails block requests for trademarked character/logo copies and sensitive personal data. Ask for original designs and provide production constraints instead.
Does AI use my prompts or uploads to train models?v
VecSwift treats AI content as private unless you explicitly save it to your library or project. Enterprise model and provider policies can vary by model. See the in-app AI usage guide for details and workspace controls.

Exporting and compatibility

Formats, validation, and the most common reasons cut files fail.

What formats does VecSwift export?v
Exports include production packs (for example SVG and PNG) and proof artifacts (for example PDF). Some vector formats are plan-gated and may vary by tier.
Why do I need to convert text to paths/outlines before exporting?v
Many cutters and downstream tools do not preserve editable text the same way your browser does. Converting to paths keeps typography consistent and prevents missing fonts or reflow.
Why are gradients and pattern fills flagged?v
Gradients, patterns, and certain effects often do not translate cleanly to cutting runs. VecSwift flags them so you can flatten, simplify, or switch to print-then-cut.
What does 'external image link' mean?v
It means a layer references an image by URL instead of embedding it. External links can break on import. VecSwift guides you to embed or re-import images before exporting.

Workspaces, roles, and sharing

How permissions work and what happens when you share or fork.

How does sharing work?v
You can share projects via public links for review and forking. Inside workspaces, roles control who can edit, export, and manage assets.
What are the workspace roles?v
Roles vary by plan, but typically include owner/admin/editor/viewer. Owners manage billing and policies; editors create and export; viewers can review without modifying.
Can I keep client work private?v
Yes. Use private workspaces, keep sharing links disabled unless needed, and avoid placing sensitive client information in prompts or filenames.

Plans and billing

How tiers work, usage limits, and what happens when you upgrade or cancel.

How do plans differ?v
Plans primarily differ in power tool access, export options, AI usage limits, and team/workspace capabilities. See the Pricing page for the current comparison.
Can I cancel anytime?v
Yes. You can manage billing and cancellation from your customer portal. Your workspace remains accessible, and plan limits apply at the next billing boundary.
What happens when I hit an AI or export limit?v
VecSwift enforces workspace limits and will prompt you to wait for reset or upgrade. Admins can configure AI enablement and monthly request limits per workspace.

Security and privacy

How VecSwift approaches account safety and platform protections.

How does VecSwift protect accounts?v
Authentication, App Check enforcement, and abuse protections are designed to reduce automated attacks. For details, see the Security page.
Is my data shared publicly by default?v
No. Projects and library assets are private to your workspace unless you explicitly share a public link or publish content in curated surfaces.
